I thought this film was going to be a bland and self absorbed movie. But it was actually a great family movie with some great laughs + meta humor.

Wouldn’t watch again but definitely worth a watch.

Also, Pedro Pascal. Nough said.

I was going to give it 5 stars but I think I’ll settle for 4 because I had reaaaally high hopes and I think that affected my perception here. I think it just didn’t change my world view in any concrete way like I had expected. But that’s a pretty tall order. Still gets so many brownie points for the unique storytelling, shot on film, cool b-roll, and general message.

I really like the references to the Matrix with the two cars, so off-the-cuff. 

Overall though, I love the parallels between this film and The Alchemist (“the treasure was with him all along” type narrative).

I liked it but generally feel devoid of feeling. I might need to watch this again in the far future but I think I’ll be satiated for a while

Some good self-aware comedy 😈

So commercial and lacks any authenticity. This is really just Knives Out: The Mystery of Why Did We Make This Sequel?

Just a cash grab.

I only give it one extra star because I did not expect the twist mid movie. But honestly it was a pretty cheap twist.

PRIMITIVE

also barbaric.

Love the capitalist vs communist foil

Inspiring and disheartening.

But still inspiring.

Definitely embodies the feeling of being 6 years old, waking up in the middle of the night from a nightmare, only to find your parents are gone.

I don’t think I’m smart enough to understand what’s going on in this movie. But once you get past the lingering shots in the beginning, you’re sure to leave the theatre with some chilling lines burrowed in your brain…

It’s been a while. But holy fucking shit so much happens at the end of this film. I really enjoyed how everything was nearly tied up the way it did.

As for take-aways, I think it had a really interesting protagonist vs antagonist situation where they were only ever in the same room once… super cool

Intense. I feel like Miles Teller is probably a dick but JK Simmons was great

A very cool classic. Music is the universal language.

Giving this 5 stars for being a trend-setter and being the first of its kind ;)

Mesmerizing when partaking in activities

pretty funny

Aside from what must be an eye watering budget, this christmas film just hits a flat. Not unwatchable but I had high hopes that it would have had a more cheeky or self-aware mockery of other cheesy christmas movies but it just ended up being a very family friendly knock off
