Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch

I tried SO HARD to like this book. I thoroughly love dry British humor (looking at you, Hitchhikers Guide to the Universe) but this book was such a slog.

It was an absolutely fun plot line, that's what got me to pick up the book. But the authors just meander for hundreds of pages for what feels like no reason until you realize that those ramblings were for a minor comedic payoff at the end...

I also watched the TV adaptation after finishing the book and found that it handled the pacing issues way better but it still did not make for an entertaining watch. It's too bad, I really wanted to like this one

The storyline is what kept me reading because I wanted to know what was actually happening but it was not a page turner by any means and the reveal was predictable and quite a flop.
