Stranger Things 5: The Finale

I don’t even know where to begin. I grew up with this show and watched every season as I went through my own seasons of life, some even mirroring the internal struggles of these characters. 

Framing this whole series from the perspective of a Dungeons & Dragons campaign really elevates the storyline; I highly recommend trying this perspective. It gets real fun trying to figure out who’s a Mage, a Sorcerer, a Bard, etc and seeing them go into action, who fails a skill check, etc

Despite a pretty horrible beginning to volume 2 in terms of script quality and general execution, the finale more than compensates for those previous sins. Watching it on the big screen also really helped immerse me in that universe one last time. I couldn’t help but shed a couple tears when those flashbacks started to run. Growing alongside this party as children and seeing them evolve into their own fleshed out adults who’ve overcome great adversities has been an opportunity of a lifetime
